All I Can Say and All That I Cannot Say

I have a lot of things to say 
But all the words I attempt are useless
In my struggle with what is today
I can’t help but be left speechless
It’s safe to say that I am afraid 
That what I can say won’t be understood anyway
It’s not the fear of being betrayed 
Rather it’s fear itself that has lead me astray
However I will no longer simply obey
When all I know and see is in complete disarray 
Do not misunderstand me 
All I want and wish is to be free 
In my search I was able to see a lot of things 
Such things that were once hidden 
At first glance it all looks ugly but don’t let it be forgotten that there is beauty to be found if only you could see it
Sometimes the truth stings 
But don’t let it be forbidden 
It’s the closest you’ll get to wisdom 
All that said at times I do feel like I’m going to overflow 
Like somehow what I am and what I know 
Even what I can give has to be suppressed
How can you blame me for being depressed 
So as loneliness confines 
I find it helpful to rhyme 
I’m no longer looking to be understood 
I only hope that you’re able to read between the lines 
I don’t have high hopes 
I was raised in the same world as you 
Although, you should know that everything entwines 
And that we’re slowly falling down the steepest slopes 
If only you knew what was actually true 
If you let me I could give you a clue 
It’s not all it seems 
Not that you’ll believe me 
The more I learn the more I see the more I realize this world just isn’t quite for me 
Not that I can leave 
I have a mission you see 
To set the whole world free
And show you that everything interweaves 
The only purpose is to love 
Everyone 
Not just the one 
Everything 
So let me give you a shove 
And show you that we are all just one 
But you see my work has just begun 
It’s a scary thing 
Opening your heart and mind 
To a world that is especially unkind 
So I’m stuck 
Between the love and hate 
The good and bad 
The wants and needs 
Striving to save a world that I’m not even sure wants to be saved 
But I’m never out of luck 
I just need a way to translate 
What makes me sad and mad 
All our misdeeds 
We are all enslaved leaving this world horribly engraved 
There are things happening behind the curtains 
Things we cannot see 
Hidden from our sight 
And though at times I’m not always certain 
There is one thing I can guarantee 
I will not go down without a fight 
And so that is why I now write 
To give to you the light 
I have a lot of things to say 
Although it may cause a lot of disarray 
If you’ll lend me your ear to listen 
You may just learn a lesson 
However it is all up to you what it is that you will do 
All I can do is give you a spark 
And help you see it through 
So we may leave our mark and escape this endless dark
