Broken For Now

The world broke my soul 
And those who live in it laughed
As I picked myself back up
One jagged piece at a time
However, there's now a gapping hole
Keeping me from my safety raft
Causing a disrupt
Marking my body as a crime
And though I feeel completely broken 
So is the rest of the world
And somehow that makes me whole again
Knowing I am not alone
So I have finally awoken
Perfectly unfurled
Ready to stand up again
