Impermanence

I am not a permanent person 
I’ve never been a permanent person 
I’ve always just been the person that is there during your darkest of times until you feel you no longer need me 
After the dark I only seem to be a burden 
I can only be there for your conversion 
I am there to guide you through the darkness until you find the light that sets you free 
I cannot leave that darkness 
You make sure of that every time you gain the light I help find for you 
I helped you discover your calmness 
Only so you could perceive someone new 
It was not my choice to be impermanent 
But maybe someday you will choose to make me permanent
